Deliverance
We have had several bad takeaway currys recently and are still searching for a half decent one. We thought we would try Deliverance, probably due to the flashy brochure and website.
The curry was reasonably expensive (around £30 for 2 people, would have been £8 cheaper elsewhere) and fairly poor.
The online order also went wrong, cancelling half the items. I then had to call up & amend the order, giving card details again for the cancelled items.
Chicken Jalfrazei was watery & very average. Chicken Korma was quite tasty, though both looked like microwave currys. We had to warm them up as they were luke warm. Spinach veg side dish was average. £2 for a small box of mini poppadums is a rip off, with no salad or chutneys thrown in, as a normal indian takeaway would.
Delivery was prompt within 45mins. Slightly surprised by the automatic 'gratuity' they try to add on to your bill before paying.
We wont both again, and I am deleting my login with them.

Pham Sushi
Went last month with girlfriend and was very impressed.
It is more of a cafe visually, so not amazing for a special occasion, but serves some of the best sushi ive had in London at decent prices.
We had good old edamame beans to start, followed by chicken skewers (these weren't bad, not amazing) and a sweet aubergine dish. These weren't bad, but its was all about the sushimi salad and the sushi rolls. Crispy tuna roll is essential (their 'famous' dish).
Spicy samon was great too, I forget what else we had but it was all extremely fresh & masterfully crafted by the chef (who knocked out perfect plates of sushi at an incredible rate!)
Next time I would get sushi / sashimi only and forget the other dishes.
Highly recommended.

Original Lahore Kebab House
Went on sunday evening, after hearing a lot about the place.
The restaurant is like a canteen - very loud with kids running around everywhere, though this is abviously no fault of the restaurant.
As for the food, it was extremely average, and not cheap (as according to the rumours). A very sad salad which barely got touched, popadums with watery mango & tasteless mint yoghurt, no chilli, onion etc.
Lamb Karahi was nice, with really tender lamb. Chicken Biryani was average. Nan bread was quite poor.
At £21, takeaway is much better and you dont have to deal with the canteen surroundings & careless staff.
We won't bother again. Don't believe the hype. The same applies to Tayyabs, I really dont see the fuss.

St John Bread & Wine
went for my birthday and had an exceptional meal.
Great atmosphere - a nice buzz with very friendly staff willing to give recommendations & explanations of the cuts of meat etc.
I had potted rabbit to start, then middle white for a main.
Cant wait to go again. Brekkie looks good too. Top.
