Mango Tree

Pricey for average food. I've been to many thai places around London and The Mango Tree serves rather non-authenic cuisine. It is very westernised and looks great. If it's the real deal you want try somewhere else... I've found pubs which serve Thai food are great. The good points: upmarket, good selection of drinks and imaginative presentation. Bad: Extremely overpriced, not outstanding food and smallish portions. They don't allow you to eat slowly either.... they'll try to kick you out asap! Overall not worth it but great place to celebrate something big. Score: 4/10

Chiquito (Leicester Square)

We had come to Chiquito's as a large group and was told bookings are not taken on Saturday. So they said we had to wait one hour. In the end we waited for over two hours in the bar area for our table, by which time the group was starving and hungry. There was no apology either.

The atmospherre is pretty good for both small and large groups, but the music is loud so if you want somewhere to have a good chat this is not the place to go to.

The food is pretty expensive for pretty average stuff. It does come piping hot, but the taste's are nothing special. The portions are not too large or small but for the price they charge I was expecting something of better quality.

Overall, I wouldn't go back because of the long waiting times (despite being promised a table within an hour of our arrival) and they do overcharge for what they have to offer.
