Having first discovered this wonderful spot many years ago with my family I still return (as often as I can afford) for special occasions. Prices certainly are not for the faint-hearted, but it has to be said that the food is infinitely more sublime than what you will be offered at your local Balti House and as such you have to be willing to pay that bit extra (if nothing else the quality of their meats, spices and other ingredients warrant this).
The delightful downstairs bar boasted attentive and friendly staff, coupled with fabulous champagne (and other) cocktails - it is a treat which is worth turning up an hour before your booking for!
Mains last time I attended included Red Oisin Deer and Pork Neck Vindaloo accompanied by their fabulous black lentils and selection of breads.
The wine list has some excellent finds and also offers fabulous (and fairly well-priced) wines by the glass - ideal if, like me, your eating partner doesn't drink wine!
Excellent service, tremendous food and superb drinks are only let down by the fact that I cannot afford to eat here more often.
