My girlfriend and i went here recently for a celebratory dinner and had a wonderful experience. The restaurant is housed in a hotel of the same name and is surprisingly small (seats maybe around 35?). The decor was a tad bland and the atmosphere felt more professional than cozy (eg no candles on the table). However, the food was superb and the service virtually faultless. The starters of foie gras and pumpkin risotto (the latter was especially whipped up by the chef when he learnt i was vegetarian) were exceptional and my g/f's main course of lobster was fabulous. The desserts (mille feuille and the poached pear with "spicy bread" ice cream) were delicious as was the cheese board. My only real gripe was that the restaurant offered two seatings on the Saturday evening, which is annoying. Still, all in all, Capital is a top-notch restaurant and well deserving of the high praise heaped on it over the years.
