Had to write a review about this place as it still remains my favourite restaurant in London. Probably as I love seafood so much. The crab starter was amazing and for the main course I had the lobster which was seriously good. Everyone else loved their food and the service was great. The creme brulee to finish I definitely recommend. On another occasion I shared the seafood platter which was a sight to behold - beautifully presented and all the shellfish you could possibly wish for (although I have to say I am definitely not a fan of cockles).

I love the seating here also, the booths are just perfect, really cosy and intimate.

Sheba Brick Lane

By far my favourite curry place on Brick Lane. Great service, great food and best of all the onion bhajis aren't flat, they are the ones that look like puff balls!! Have been to about 10 different curry places on Brick Lane over the years but this one really is the best.

Crazy Bear

The Crazy Bear I visited was actually the one in Covent Garden but am sure they are much the same. I'm visiting this one at the weekend for a friend's birthday and have to say I can't wait if the Covent Garden one is anything to go by!

As per some of the reviews on here, the service is really quite slow but as we were a few friends who went we were quite happy sipping wine and having a catch up so only had to enquire once where the food was and we were quite easygoing about it really as we weren't in a rush.

Aside from this I would say that the food was seriously worth the wait. I had crab tempura to start and the chicken green curry for main both of which were seriously good. I already can't wait for my trip to the Fitzrovia one at the weekend!

Satsuma

This place is the best Japanese I've ever been to. I'm a big lover of chicken katsu curry and thought Wagamamas were the ring leader of this but it seems not! Satsuma do the best chicken katsu around, a massive portion with lots of curry sauce and if that wasn't enough you get a side salad and miso soup on the side! As far as starters go the tempura king prawns are amazing and even my friends agreed they were the best they'd ever had! The kiwi and strawberry juice is also lovely. Great place and fortunately quite near where I work for a weekly feast!

Akash Tandoori (Edgware Rd)

Felt the need to write a review about this place purely because the service was so terrible. I have visited the Akash previously a couple of times on a Saturday night purely as it's the closest curry place to my house (being a bit lazy) and never thought the food was great. The onion bhajis are good and they have lime pickle which are plus points but the curries are really bland.

I have a discount card which apparently gets 50% off the food bill on weekdays here. However tonight I went here and at the end of the very mediocre meal was presented with a bill getting ONE main course free. They clearly knew they were ripping us off as refused to give us an itemised bill (unbelievable!).

I have been for far better curries (Bombay NIghts in West Hampstead is amazing and also does a deal). Feeling pretty annoyed being ripped off by more than £10 for pretty boring food to be honest. Never again!

Benja

Just visited this place on lunch with a mate for the set lunch and we both thought the food was amazing. I have tried loads of thai restaurants around London but this was definitely the best green curry I've ever had! Ingredients were really fresh. We both had the chicken satay which was gorgeous. Can't say anything bad about this place.
