Signor Sassi

I had heard very positive things about this restaurant so the disastrous meal I had here last night may have been a one-off. But, sadly, despite keeping my guest and I waiting for over 30 minutes for our table there was very little (if any) attempt made at an apology. After the wait we were crammed into an overcrowded and smoky room. Not a good start.

The rack of lamb that I ordered was enjoyable but the 'compulsory' accomanying vegetables were tasteless and reminded me of boarding school food. My guest did not enjoy the kidneys on offer - which seemed to be drowned in cheap tinned mushrooms.

Overall, a very forgettable experience. Food - okay; service - shockingly bad! And not cheap.
