I would highly recommend this restaurant. Myself, my partner and my friend were visiting Camden on Friday night, and whilst looking for somewhere to eat, the smart exterior of this restaurant caught our eye. Despite fearing that (in accordance with the decor) this place might be a little out of our price range, we were pleasantly surprised to find that the food was reasonably priced (including several set menu offers).
Inside, the restaurant was roomy, modern in design and tastefully decorated (somewhat of a rareity at this time of year!). With regard to the food, there was a very wide selection of dishes ranging from mixed platters and sweet and sour dishes, to stir frys, noodles and curries. We chose spicy battered king prawns with sweet chilli sauce and chicken and prawn dumplings to start, followed by sweet and sour pork, lamb and potato curry (mild) and chicken and potato curry (medium) and a bottle of merlot.
The food was absolutely delicious (the meat was so tender it just seemed to fall apart) and all three of us were in agreement that this was one of the best meals we have had when eating out - anywhere! Although too full for desert, we did opt for a glass of port and the staff were quite happy for us to stay a good 30 to 45 minutes after we finished the meal whilst we drank this and finished our bottle of wine. Moreover, this was in line with the general attitude of the staff, who were extremely welcoming, efficient and entertaining throughout the entire meal.
All in all (including wine, drinks and service)the cost of the meal came to approximately £20 a head. It was an extremely good value meal, in a restaurant that will appeal to most people, and I will make a point of seeking it out the next time I return to London.
