Barrafina
An update (see below). I visited Thursday lunch 17th September
I missed the pimento peppers...they seem to go very quickly.
Still a bit overpriced but still good. Last time I was there I bumped into Suggs (the time before the bloke form Top Gear) Nowt in the way of celebrity this time but, good food and a great start to the long weekend eating in London and generally making a nuisance of myself.
I still like the place. Go, if you get a chance but CHECK THE WEBSITE ... no reservations. I see so many people disappointed when I am there.

Cafe Boheme
An update (see below). I visited Thursday dinner 17th September
The “Ice Maiden” is gone!!! It might have been her night off but I hope she is gone. The lady that dealt with me was very pleasant. I had the steak tartare again and was very happy. The atmosphere is really good, still and I have no complaints.

Criterion Restaurant
I am soooo glad it is back to the Criterion and (poor old) Frankie has gone...sorry Frankie but stick to the horses.
I went Friday 18th September. I had not dared to venture inside the place since the tie-up with Dettori. There had been so many poor reviews I didn't want to waste my cash. In the end I did (waste a lot of my cash) as I had a stinking hangover and couldn't do the food justice. TOTALLY my fault but the staff were brilliant (except the guy that gave my wife the directions to Tiffany's ;0)) and it loved it. Mushroom risotto with partridge or pheasant. Lovely.
If you have never been, go for a look. I always think it looks like the inside of the Titanic. It is so beautiful and will make anyone feel special. This one is definitely back on the list for me.
