Thai Dream

quiet but cute small place. went on a friday night and was surprised to find it was half empty but once we ordered the food we knew we had made the right decision.

i ordered the sweet and sour thai soup which was excellent. i also had a prawn curry for the main course which was also very nice. we were served by a very friendly and polite waiter who was possibly the owner as well.

a great authentic thai experience at reasonable prices.

Hakkasan

We went on a friday evening and got a booking for 10:15pm.

The place was buzzing and jam-packed when we arrived. There was about 1 feet distance between our table and our neighbours and we felt quite squashed and cramped up.

The cocktails we ordered were very sweet and did not taste of much alcohol.

I ordered a prawn curry dish for mains which was good but nothing unusual in quality or taste. My boyfriend ordered a venison dish which was much better, probably the highlight in terms of food.

The waitress was juggling between us and a few other tables, and did not appear too patient or warm when it came to explaining dishes.

All in all in was a very standard experience, not the quality, fine dining romantic experience i was looking for. food and service is decent but overrated for the prices.
