I returned last week for my second lunch and was even more impressed than the first time. The lunch menu is good value for money. All dishes are fresh and inviting and the free water is exemplary. The service is very attentive. My only slightly negative view is on the atmosphere. I know the place is small, but you do sit very close to your neighbours and overhear their conversations.

Magdalen

Definitely my favourite place south of the Thames. Excellent food, a comprhensive wine list, very attentive and pleasant service. We felt welcome the moment we stepped through the door.. The daily changing menu reflects the freshness and seasonality of the food.

We will go back.

Butlers Wharf Chop House

The food is fine, the wine and the service too. The only problem was the noise. We had to yell at each other to make each other heard. Wooden flooring and low ceilings do not help, but not the place to go for a quiet or peaceful evening. And I also have no idea why the digestif is ice cold and the water lukewarm.

Blue Elephant

Some really good food in magnificant surroundings, but not exactly cheap. I got the impression they know they are good and therefore had an air of arrogance about the service.

Kaslik

We wanted a simple dinner on the way to the theatre. It turned out to be truly excellent. Seasonal mezze, excellent wine and really good value for money. All dishes tasted fresh. We were a bit taken aback by the waiter, but he turned out to be very kind and helpful.

Tentazioni

The more often I go, the better it gets. I enjoy the excellent service and the recommendations made for food and wine.

A little less truffle oil would occasionally help, but the quality remains excellent.
