Tom Aikens

I went to Tom Aikens last week and was blown away by the quality of the food and the fabulous service. Our table of four went a la carte at lunch time and 3 hours later we finished the most amazing meal. Every dish came out looking like a work of art but with the most exquisite flavours and textures. I had scallops followed by sea bass and lime with the most stunning combination of pear and liquorice for dessert. Unless you are a big eater I would recommend ordering light as the restaurant is extremely generous with its amuses bouches. I found the service to be faultless and would highly recommend it to anyone as a really special and memorable treat. Sadly it's only open during the week. I think this must be where wealthy foodie squirrels go before hibernation, we didn't need to eat for days afterwards! If he doesn't get 3 Michelin stars I will eat my hat.
