Stumbled upon this place quite by chance last time I was passing through Soho. Very reasonably priced, and lovely food. Particularly enjoyed the ribbon beef sashimi and the lack of pretension. People in here seemed to be enjoying themselves, and that's always a good sign.

Gordon Ramsay at Claridge's

A wonderful place to dine. Although it's pretty 'executive', it never felt snobby or pretentious and the food was so good, it wouldn't have mattered anyway. We got in late and the staff very kindly waited til our meal was over, but didn't once hurry us up, which was very good of them. Sommelier was friendly and not standoffish, very chatty and made interesting suggestions. Most essentially, the food was exquisite. We opted for the "menu prestige" which gave us a great selection of food from tuna to pork belly to a multitude of cheeses. Everything was cooked so well, and it was all very unfussy, which is such a relief. Although pricey (especially factoring in the wine), I won't forget my experience here: food cooked and served impeccably - what more can one ask?
