Porters English Restaurant

I had read the website and was looking forward to a Sunday lunch with a group of friends. I was expecting home cooked food, hearty portions and a friendly atmosphere.

Having arrivd exactly on time we were told we had two hours in which to eat, having already requested the table for as long as we wanted this came as a bit of a surprise.

The food was poor, the starters could have come straight from a tin. The mains were cold and the vegetables off. Although our complaint was dealt with very well by the staff who were friendly and courteous it was a big disappointment.

Finally we were ushered out of the restaurant with nothing short of the rudest look I have ever seen. Not a good way to end a lunch which wasn't of the highest quality to begin with...
