All this carping just goes to show how quickly we get spoiled. A year ago, Leon was an amazing find because no one had ever done what it does before – namely, producing fresh, wholesome food for modest prices, and not a sandwich or a chiller cabinet in sight. Anything that's freshly cooked is bound to be a bit variable, but I'd rather that than face a cold mayonnaise sandwich from Pret every lunchtime. In fact, I'm amazed by how consistently good the salads, chicken nuggets and stews are – and the fact that I can afford to eat them every day for lunch. Another bonus: Leon is always full of unfeasible good-looking girls (a side-effect of the healthy-eating vibe I guess).
