Dim T (Charlotte St)

being chinese, I have had a fair few dim sum in my time. I was fairly impressed by the dim sum offered by dim T. Although not as cheap or as authentic as that offered in china town, i found it supplemented the main courses which are made to order by yourself pretty well.

Bertorelli (Charlotte St)

I went there for valentines and the food was top notch and not too pricey all things considering the day. If there is a grip, I would say that some of the table do seem very close together, perhaps not the best thing for the occasion

Roka (Charlotte St)

First things first, the foods great but it comes at a price and the natural style of the food means that they tend to come in small portions.

Service is something to be desired too, if you get seated downstairs in the bar, expect to wait an age to be served and for your food to arrive. Last time we were there, my girlfriend put the last £10 on the bill as cash, this was later collected by the manager(I think it was). She returned a couple of minutes later claiming that she was short of £10. When we assured her we had put the right amount down, she argued she was right and that she checked the amount throughly. It later transpired she had dropped the last £10 whilst she was taking it to the till. A brief sorry was all that was said despite pretty much accusing us of not putting the right bill down

New Fook Lam Moon

I've been going to this restaurant for years, the family and I are regulars here and great food is always expected and received at a reasonable price. Is usually quieter than a lot of the other chinatown restaurants

E Capital

Different from the most other chinese restaurants, E capital offers a representation of cuisine originating from Shanghai. Well worth a visit if you fancy something different from the usual chinese
