I went with my husband last night for a nice meal out. It was not to be.
I ordered the Cheese Soufflé, which was dry and solid, and a huge disappointment.
An hour after we had finished out starters, the waiter turned up to tell me that the sea bream I had ordered was not coming, they had run out. I would have thought the kitchen could have told him that sooner? I then opted for salmon and tuna on skewers instead, as I felt I had to make a snap decision about a replacement. This eventually turned up, and was really bad. 4 bits of completely dry and overcooked tuna, and 2 small bits of slightly less dry salmon, with some luke warm oily vegetables and rice that had a funny, crunchy texture, as if it had been left for a while and dried out - or was not cooked properly. It was all dry as the Sahara, with the exception of the gloopy vegetables on the side. Thank heavens for the sides we ordered of Spinach Gratin and Gratin Dauphinois, which were delicious.
Then dessert: The wine that was meant to accompany my warm choclolate fondant turned up nearly an hour before the dessert itself. My husband has also finished his coffee and cognac long before his dessert turned up. We were 2 minutes away from leaving when the dessert finally arrived. Again the kitchen had managed to overcook - the fondant was dry, and pretty much solid all the way though. The vanilla ice cream on the side was good though. But sadly this is not enough.
To top it all off, they tried to charge me for the more expensive main course I had originally ordered, and not for the one I actually got. This was rectified immediately, but after a pretty terrible meal this was the icing on the cake.
Overall this whole meal took 3 hours, with an hours waiting time between each course. Truly terrible. The restaurant was not even full. The two waiters who were there were great, and gave good service, but they were badly let down by what seemed to be a completely inefficient kitchen who constantly overcooked the food.
The astronomical bill we were presented with at the end of this long and dry meal was a complete insult. Value for money it's not! We will not be returning.

A wonderful little Italian place! The space is nice, smokers are kept away from the rest of us, which means you can actually taste the food. The waiters are friendly and attentive, and the food is absolutely superb. None of the people I went with had any complaints about anything. It's also really good value for money.
I will most definitely come back - I must taste that Tiramisu again!
