Gallery Mess
"Mess" is a very appropriate name for this joint. It is hopelessly run with service that even an Aberdeen Angus steakhouse would beat. Avoid this useless venue. Worst of all was that they served my party WARM white wine.

MareMoto
I dined at MareMoto with a group of seven this Thursday and we were all wholeheartedly impressed.
The service is impeccable. Luigi, the owner, is a most delightful man who is jolly and attentive yet knows when not to interrupt diners conversations. His knowledge of Italian food and his sympathique manner was just wonderful.
The extensive wine list is impressive and reasonably priced, the food is delicious and my guests - one of whom is the ex head chef of The Dorchester - very much a superb meal in a most convivial setting.
I recommend that readers try this fine restaurant and for a drink afterwards, head downstairs to MareMoto's club for a dance.
I shall be going back very soon.

Mango Tree
The decor is dull, the food is average to mediocre and the service is not up to scratch I'm afraid.

Aubergine
This is the most awful restaurant I've ever dined in. Over-rated and over-priced.

Brompton Bar & Grill
A thoroughly brilliant concept. Francois O'Neill is a host par excellence. His team are, in the main, excellent and efficient.
The atmosphere of this restaurant is superb and I very much like the simple yet well thought out menu of such things as flat iron steaks and fish stew. Never have the dishes failed to be anything other than brilliant.
Best of all is the bill, with wines at £10 upwards where else in Knightsbridge can one dine in such a fine setting for so little?
My only criticism is that the table closest to the door is very drafty. If they reconfigured their entrance it would be far better. The glass to the sides is not needed. There should be a piece of glass a few feet behind the door instead with diners entering to either the left or right.
I shall continue to dine at the Brompton Bar & Grill regularly.
