The Engineer

The food here is yummy though overpriced. The pubby atmosphere and service were fine. Reservations advisable. Seared scallop appetizer was amazing and melted in our mouths. Polenta was moyen and roasted duck breast was outstanding. Succulent in its juices. Steak was fatty for the price though came with remarkably seasoned bearnise sauce.

Excellent Thai food found here. Our party started with the the papaya spring rolls (fried) and the chicken satay with peanut sauce. The spring rolls were lacked depth beyond tasty friedness but the chicken satay with peanut sauce really sung. The mussel curry was mildly spiced with tender, delicious mussels. The cucumber prawn fried rice was fine but nothing extraordinary and the cucumber influence limited to two pieces next to the rice. Vegetable green curry was excellent but packs a surprising (no mention on the menu) spicy punch. Beer Chiang was tasty and went well with the food. The service was good. 47 pounds (including service) for three people with 2 starters, 3 mains, 2 rices, 2 beers, 1 tea and a bottle of still water.
