The Mulberry Tree

What an unfortunate comment but I see this was written in 2008, probably when the restaurant was in its infancy and maybe not quite 'together' at that point. We have been on several occasions and our experiences have been exactly the opposite! What really 'hooked' us was the genuinely friendly welcome, ambience and real attention to detail. The wonderful food is a bonus! True, the portions appear small compared to the 'gutbuster' platefulls which many eating establishments think is necessary to draw us in. But what a delight to be able to savour the excellent food mouthful by mouthful without leaving feeling like an overfed whale! This is definitely a place for the discerning eater to enjoy an unhurried meal in extremely pleasant surroundings, inside or out (the garden is really beautiful) and the staff all make one feel quite special. Congratulations to Karen for giving this locality The Mulberry Tree. And as a final comment, We really think it's time the unfortunate comment by Lucy Owen was removed. We don't think this pertains now.
