My whole experience.........well firstly I was not too excited about going to this restaurant due to the only two reviews on the site were pretty poor, plus the scores were very low..........Anyway a chance to go out with my parents and grandpa makes a nice change.
I have to say that the restaurant was very good indeed. The portions were fair, the food was of excellent quality and the prices for 4 people including drinks and desserts came to £80 before service! 3 of the four of us had a starter but this is excellent value for London. The steak my grandpa had looked excellent and was a very good size. My tuna steak au poivre was very well cooked too. The apple pie dessert was rather average though.
The waitresses made one or two mistakes and brought the wrong thing but they were very polite and friendly and we felt that we could easily ask them to rectify the siuation. Service was very friendly.
The only thing that I would say about this restaurant is that it's very clean inside, but slightly old fashioned. I doubt they get much clientele below 50 years old. Not a place for a kicking night out, but for fine food with family and friends, and at very good value prices I give it my strongest recommendation.

Had the 29 quid per head degustatation menu on the 2 for 1 offer. I completely misunderstood that this was a menu where you taste many dishes as thought this was a set menu. The restaurant was incredibly helpful and because I don't eat meat or seafood they made an exception (to their normal rule of not changing the degustation menu) and substituted fish / veggie dishes.........Food was pretty good, small portions but many dishes so you leave very full up!1st class service and beautiful surroundings. For two people including wine and still water came to 37 quid incl. service so bargain!A very good quality posh curry! We would definitely go there again but next time I would try another menu or a la carte.
