Thai Cottage

I am obsessed with Thai food and have been quite a lot Thai restaurant in London. This one is the worst experience I have ever encountered!

I went there on Sunday with my boyfriend after reading the good reviews from this website and was very disappointed at both the food and the service.

Tom yum gai soup: the prawns were very smelly (indication of not fresh or a broken fridge?), I told the restaurant staff very politely about the problem, but they didn't seen to be able to communicate with us (no apology at all what-so-ever).

Fried chicken (main course): Me and my boyfriend ordered the same fried chicken dish and both of us tasted something strange in the meat (an unbearable heavy stinky taste of meat, usually as a result of meat being stored for too long). We stopped eating and complained to them politely again ----- they didn’t defend themselves, but again no apology, no response!!!

We stopped eating and asked for the bill, which was 23 pounds for two disregarding we didn’t even start eating our dishes at all – NO apology, even NO discount! We again complained to the staff politely and finally got some response: ‘no other customers complained, so we are not going to give you a discount’!

We paid in full, left the place with food still completely untouched felt extremely disappointed feeling we have been cheated and used.

This is not the way to do business.
