The Curtains Up

I am amazed at the reviews i have read on this friendly theatre pub. My friends took me there while on a recent business/pleasure trip. The clientele being made up of proffesionals, though mostly drama students from the nearby Dramatic Arts school made this place youthfull and vibrant while being completley unpretentious. As i was interested in the theatre i asked who happened to be the Curtains Up manager for info. This young chap went out of his way to talk through that weeks production and recommended future shows for my next trip, Thanks Chris. On the whole i was amazed to find a really nice place to visit in London that was full of genuine warmth and atmosphere. The previous reviews about this place and the manager, to me seem to be a misjudged representation of a pub i'd gladly call my local. On the other hand if you are the kind of person to make pretentious remarks like previous reviewers, this pub may be all the better for not having you visit there.
