My friend and I ate at this restaurant on Saturday 14th January. Before I review the food, I will say that the staff were the most perfectly well mannered and helpful staff I have ever encountered (our waiter was particularly likeable - I just wish I knew his name so I could write to the restaurant and say how wonderful he was!) However, the restaurant was pretty dark and chilly - I would have preferred a more bright and lively environment. Now, on to the food. I wish I could post my photograph on here because the lamb chops I were given were pale pink on one side and dark brown on the other (although they tasted perfectly fine and were the most tendered lamb chops I have ever eaten) It didn't bother me in the slightest but I'm not sure Gordon would have allowed the chops to leave the kitchen that way if he had been there! The mash was too sloppy and the ras el hanout sauce, which accompanied the meal was slightly too strong. The pineapple desert I had was exactly as our waited described it "it looks stunning and it tastes like summer!" Yes, the portions were small but they were no smaller and no more expensive than I had anticipated. All in all, I enjoyed the meal and the whole experience. It was a once in a lifetime visit for me and I'm glad I went. I'd recommend it, even if it's just so you get to say "I've eaten at Gordon Ramsay's!"
