Khan's of Kensington

This restaurant was a pioneer in the area a decade or more ago, known for value, good food and reasonable, if not quirky service. It is now trading on former glories.

In particular very watery sauces with little flavour characterise many dishes, which are served in a noisy and crowded environment, If the former qualities could be restored, it would be worth it. As it is, there are many nearby better alternatives.

Ken Lo's Memories of China

Given the illustrious pedigree of its founder, the food lacks originality and depth of flavour. The accomodation is rather cramped and intimate dinners are not on the menu! It is a bit pricey but would be worth it, if rather more attention were paid to flavour and comfort. I suspect that the great man himself would agree, if still with us.
