It is always refreshing to know that the WestEnd can still provide small reclusive familly restaurant with very high standards of food and service. We were 3 and thoroughly enjoyed our 3 courses meal from a well balanced menu. The atmosphere was great and relaxed, non smoking in the front a plus. The food was plush and perfectly cooked, but for the same vegetables served on 2 different dishes (asparagus, broad beans, haricot vert) but nicely put together. The wine list is of good value but could have more choices. The only negative points would be the dessert choice and the cheesecake but the presentation was perfect. At £40 it is a good value restaurant. Nice, friendly and helpfull staff always makes you feel better and wanting to come back, something we will do for sure.

It is always interesting to read other people's review, especially the bad ones. One would wonder if they actually wrote to the restaurant and ask for a compensation as well - it would not be of a surprise and certainly will be welcomed. However, will they write a good review afterwards is another matter. I went back to Le Pont de la Tour after leaving it alone for 3 month and was more then happy to say that the Brasserie menu is of fantastic value, every Monday and Tuesday you buy your wine at the Wineshop price, all complimented by a perfect service (the bar used to be ok, but things have changed a lot I must say - well done) and high quality food. The Set menu changes every week (not many other places do this). The Brasserie was full and I was pleased that I actually booked this venue and even though the view is much better in the Restaurant, I cannot wait to see the terrace open - having said that they don't take bookings as it is a first come first serve basis, hence I will try my luck but I know that I will not be disapointed. Last but not least, for a restaurant that has been in town for 15 years and still full of buzz and happy faces, one would wonder if the bad reviews are merely the reflection of people that do not appreciate successful entrepreneurhsip, well done Terence and give us more. You do have the genius and the clarity that many would envy and most copy with bad taste. Perfect venue and top of my agenda for business and private entertainment, Le Pont de la Tour is still the place.

Last night I took my girlfriend for a very nice romantic Valentine evening - I must say that we had the most magical night ever - the food was superb and the service first class. We had a £75 menu and choose the foie gras to start, followed by the sole with caviar sauce and a boeuf en croute - the dessert were somptious and sexy. We received 2 glasses of Laurent Perrier Rose on arrival, therefore carried the night with it. Service was so smooth that we barely noticed it, a great night - a fantastic place, Well done!

I went there on Tuesday for lunch with a friend, I am a great supporter of Marco and his style of food - I must say that his italian roots have most definetely been reflected in the menu. The room is very classical and you are surrounded by an impressive art collection. We shared the lobster spaghetti and followed by rump of lamb and a veal chop - dessert were amazing; tiramisu and semifreddo all accompanied by a very nice tuscan wine. On fault, the service was very much a flop but certainly compensated by the food and the magical touch of Marco - we will be back soon!
