Porters English Restaurant

To all at Porters. Just to say thanks for sending the books! much appreciated you certainly 'go the extra mile' - (rare these days).

Can I just add, we had a lovely meal at Porters and hope to come back again soon when we next visit some of the historic sights in London.

Gordon's Wine Bar

Best drunk outside with friends. Good wines, efficient service and happy to say lots of brollies outside.

Porters English Restaurant

I ate at this mainstay of Covent Garden as part of a large group, of which I was a guest. I have to say that I was surprised by how amiable the welcome and service were. The waitress was clearly busy but had no problem dealing with our ‘mixed bag’ of 15 work colleagues.

My steak and mushroom pie was tasty & tender, the Eton Mess exactly that.

Decent wine selection and very reasonably priced; good to see an English restaurant serving English wines, especially the rose from Oxfordshire.

Restaurant Gordon Ramsay

Four us dined at this restaurant at lunch time and were blown away by the food and the service.

My ox cheeks and parfait were sublime; as a treat it was superb.

The atmosphere was austere and formal, in fairness exactly what I expected.

This is certainly a restaurant that requires a certain budget but is definitely worth a visit.
