L'Autre Pied

A bit boring, small portions...can restaurants really get away with that on an a la carte menu these days?

ONE08

Not so good. It felt a bit like dining on a cross-channel ferry. I think they, at the very least, should offer slightly higher quality menus. I don't mean the food, which was okay, I mean the actual menus which looked like they'd been printed out in the office onto the sort of paper one would use in a home printer.

Il Baretto

I thought it was excellent for lunch, sounds like it might not be so good for dinner.

Fifteen London (Restaurant)

I love the full English on a weekend in the Trattoria washed down with a fine virgin mary.

Texture

Absolutely superb. I went a la carte and it's not cheap, but they look to have a superb set menu for lunch at less than a score for two courses.

I think this has to be the nicest dining room in the West End and the staff are superb; not snobby, not intrusive, not too serious, just jovial, friendly, professional and informative.

One of London's finest restaurants in my opinion,

Deserves way more than one Michelin star

L'Autre Pied

If you go a la carte for lunch with 3 courses, a bottle of wine, a bottle of mineral water and coffees, you are looking at around £150.

Not sure what more one could ask for!

The Albion

I feel sorry for the excellent staff. I can't imagine anyone leaving here thinking "Wow, what great food and such good value, too!"

12 quid gets you 3 slices of plain bread, 5 small pickled onions, a handful of watercress, a pinch of pepper, some celery and a small portion of cheese. Oh, and a boiled egg. 12 quid.

Hopefully someone will post on here to let us all know when the chef has been replaced. I won't be going back before then.
