Pix (Covent Garden)
Cosy venue with friendly service and nice tapas.
Met some friends here for a quick bite before heading off to the ROH.
We had to wait quite a while for the food to come out, especially our mate who is vegetarian. But thankfully the restaurant wasnt too busy so we wre able to pick and choose what we wanted. Favourite dishes of the night included........chilli chicken kebab, garlic mushroom, quince covered chorizo, churros,
At £2.50 a dish it seems good value, but as its only for a mouthful of food it then doesnt seem so good value.
That said the place had a nice vibe to it, and I would probably go again to catch up with friends over a light bite.

Zuma
A wee bit snooty and pricey, but the food was lovely.
Each dish was beautifully presented and the sashimi was fresh and melted in your mouth.
The dynamite and california rolls were delicious and the scallops divine.
I think the least value for money was probably the salads, they tasted nice, but quite pricey for what ends up being only a mouthful.
I would love to come here again, but only if I can find another wealthy friend to take me!

Okawari
After trekking to Ealing after work my friend took me to Okawari as she knows i love Japanese food. Having just read some of the reviews below, I'm happy to say my experience was very different.
For me personally I dont think it matters if the staff are / aren't of the origin that the restaurant is serving food from - so long as the service is good and the food is good.
Okawari did not disappoint in either category.
The staff were friendly and attentive but not too in your face and we loved the sunken tables
We ordered sushi - which was fresh and well made, the fish katsu curry - delicious and well sized, chicken teriyaki ramen - was well flavoured and tender, but our favourite dish was definitely the Nasu Den - grilled aubergine with soybean sauce.......hmmm... I'd be willing to get through another 10 tube strikes to eat this again.
