Zuma

I was at Zuma a few days ago. My experience with the reception and service is excellent. There is a good atmosphere at the restaurant, interesting and entertaining. Food is hit and miss. I would expect much better quality sashimi form a high end Japanese restaurant, but the quality of the cuts was poor, perhaps the fish wasn't fresh enough too. Whatever the reason is I did not like it and for the first time in my life I left sashimi behind! And I eat at Japanese restaurants a lot. On the other hand food from grill was good in general. Most clientele are business people either stopping for a drink or to have dinner. Cocktails are great.

Cheyne Walk Brasserie

I had lunch here with friends. Relaxing atmosphere, excellent food. Some of us had char-grilled fish, some had steak and al of us were happy with our food.

Ichi-Riki Sushi House

I went there for lunch. Most of the clientele were white collar workers from nearby offices. It was small but cute place in a small pedestrian alley with lots of character. Service is good. I love sushi, traveled around world a lot and lived in various different countries including Japan. So I think I know what a good sushi would taste like. And sushi here wasn't it. Fish, the most important ingredient, wasn't fresh enough. Rice wasn't well prepared. The cuts weren't right. In the end it was edible food but would not worth another trip from me to this particular location for sushi.
