The Palm London

We went there of my birthday and it was fantastic.

I don't understand the reviews here. First off, this is a STEAK place. Good steak does not come cheap, and this is USDA flown-in-fresh beef. If you want reasonable prices, go to the local Harvester. You are in Belgravia people, that should tell you something about the price point.

The steak i had (filet mignon, medium rare) was insanely good, and perfectly cooked, best steak i've had in London, and i've eaten at all the so called steak places here (Santa Maria del Buen Ayre was good, haven;t been there in a while but good spots are the exception to the rule).

This is comparable to a very good steak in New York - it won't beat it, but it's right up there. The sides - while good - can use some work but you know what, for the experience of a decent piece of beef, i'm not going to moan.

We also had an energetic 8 year old boy with us, who was really looked after and treated well, and he loved the tour of the chiller with all the beef.

Can really recommend this place. And for the reviewer talking about the LOUD BRAYING Americans, let me tell you, Brits (and i'm one myself) can be JUST as annoying when you hear us on foreign soil, talking about how it's just so much better back home. Why not order a cocktail from the bar, and soak up the atmosphere - either that or dig yourself a little empire over at Rules?
