Odette's

The food was fine, but portions were small, and the meal was way over-priced. It took a long time for dishes to arrive, perhaps because the restaurant was full. We liked the ambiance downstairs.

Waiters were on the whole polite, but were disinterested in taking up the issue we had with the table location we had been allocated over the phone.

As for the restaurant manager, we found him thoroughly insincere and full of contempt. Following some heated disagreements after we had paid the bill, he made a spitting gesture at us on showing us the door. When we challenged him about this, he made a point of closing the door in our faces and repeated the gesture, removing any doubt about how he felt towards us.

What a shame for the head chef, Bryn Williams. With his front of house manager treating guests so abusively, the place will get a bad name. We don't appear to be the only ones that have had an issue with this manager.
