Bocca di Lupo

Not sure if I visited on a bad day or made bad choices on the menu but I found the food quite bland and overpriced. The suckling pig which was on as a special.. the skin wasnt even crispy. Soo bad for £200 for 3 people. We had a cocktail each at the beginning which were good. Our over attentive US waiter was pretty annoying.

Brawn

Ohhh this was really disappointing :( I love Terroirs and have returned there a lot but Brawn just isnt for me. I guess the first thing would be to ensure you sit in the rear dining area, it has more atmosphere. We were sat in the front where the decor is 'minimalist scandi' i.e. white walls and a couple of pics on the walls. That works in Fernandez & Well's because they are small places but in here it just felt cold.

Anyway, the food was good, too much cold selection for my liking (which reeks of 'early in the day prep n stick it in the fridge til later') but good all the same. Clams, Jesus jamon & quails eggs good, chicken a bit bland and dry. The brawn comes recommended but it was disappointing for me and quite tasteless.

Brawn wouldve been better if it werent so expensive, basically u can go to Terroirs for the same money and get muuch better value!

The staff are quite sweet.

Fernandez & Wells Coffee Bar

I love this place, now they have taken my fave sarnie off the menu (tarragon chicken), cant wait til they bring it back. Around £5 for a sandwich and probably the best in london.

Princi

Love love love, just wish it wasnt so expensive for take away (£7-8 per dish and no cheaper than to eat in) for a lunch so I could eat it everyday! Aubergine parmigiana is to die for.

Spuntino

Nice food (soft shell crab, burger, shoestring fries are fun to eat) but more expensive than Polpo. A bit too try hard trendy but a fun alternative from the other restaurants Polpo and Polpetto.

Polpo

A big reason why I like this place is because of the buzzing atmosphere there. The food is good, quick and not expensive so would definitely recommend it. Service is sometimes a bit off but generally ok.
