The Pot Kiln

I'm sure this restaurant has fantastic food and it is in a lovely setting but I think its become a victim of its own success and has clearly developed a lax and rude attitude towards its diners. A large group of us tried to eat there today. I had a lengthy email exchange beforehand and telephone call only this morning about whether it was necessary to book or could we just turn up. Nobody thought to point out that the bar is tiny and unable to accommodate large groups if there are many people in there. That was extremely annoying (we travelled from London) but what made it worse was the 'nothing we can do' attitude of the staff. They told us we had to order immediately before the kitchen closed and we could sit outside in the cold and rain. They made it clear they didn't care one way or the other whether we stayed.
