Kerbisher & Malt (Brook Green)

We have just visited Kerbisher and Malt in Shepherds Bush and the fish (haddock) was fresh and fried just how it should be and the batter was light and crisp. The portions of chips were fairly generous too and the mushy peas were lovely. It's a shame the restaurant didn't have a bit more room for tables, as it did seem a little overcrowded with people coming in for takeaway fish n chips and people also lining up to get seated at a table. The only downside was noting that one of the owners was circulating and talking to diners at all of the tables, especially to one particular family next to us. But he very obviously did not visit ours - walking briskly past without asking us how our meal had been - although the waitress had earlier asked if we had enjoyed the food. This did cause offence and made us feel uncomfortable - it rendered the visit a not so excellent one after all.
