Barrica

The food was excellent, likewise the sherries, but this is an expensive night out and the portions are meagre. I think the staff who are described in some reviews as "friendly and helpful" must have left/been on holiday/been having a bad day. They didn't have the first idea about what the dishes were which they brought to our table (the lamb sweetmeats were presented as chicken, as was the quail) and any request for guidance about the different sorts of sherries brought looks of blank incomprehension bordering on indifference (rather along the lines of "never touch the stuff myself"). Their main priority was to get us out of there so others could use the table, judging by the speed with which they whisked away glasses and plates which were not yet empty and which we had to retrieve. Don't arrive hungry and don't go mad on the sherries; the prices soon ratchet up and it can be very expensive.
