Chez Bruce

I went to Chez Bruce with my wife and we got a table on the off chance through a cancellation at 6.30pm.

I am suprised by some of the reviews as this is now the 2nd time I have been there in the last 3 months and have been very happy both times with the service, food and atmosphere. I think a michellin starred restaurant with 3 courses for £45 is excellent, I think the portion sizes are very generous compared to other michellin restaurants that I have been too.

I am allergic to hard cheese and when finding this out the waiter came back with the menu and had highlighted both times I have been with which dishes had cheese in and which ones could be changed to accomadate.

The food has been fantastic both times I have been and the wine list is extensive with some wines reasonably priced.

I found service to be great on both occasions, for 3 courses each and 2 bottles of wine our bill came to with service to just over £165 which I think is very reasonable. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone that wants a michellin experience at very reasonable price.
