Boisdale of Bishopsgate

We had a great lunch here last week, hadn't been there for ages, reminded of just how good it is.

The food: we endded up having 2 plates of the oysters, first a mix of colchester and jersey, then exclusively Jersey, they were sweeter and tastier. Could have comfortably ordered another dozen.

Main course - duck with mustard mash, one of the specials, delicious and cooked to perfection. Friends had fish pie (I was on hand to finish it: ), and fish and chips, equally good..

No, it's not cheap, but it's quality fare, comfortable restaurant and a lovely ambiance - I can imagine it would be very easy to stay there for the whole afternoon with a couple of bottles of red.

Great food, great service - the lady that served us was very personable, efficient and knowledgeable. We'll definitely make this a regular haunt.

@foodepedia Pretty bright and sticky over here but not as wet as we thought. Enjoy the heatwave!
