Papageno Restaurant

Unparallelled (neolithic) service. We were shown to our table at 8pm and by 8.50pm having not been acknowledged once by a waiter we walked out of the door. Granted, it was a busy evening but why take bookings for 75 odd covers if you only have two waiters?? The place looked great but diners can't be expected to sit and admire the decor for 50 minutes without so much as a drinks order being taken. I paid 50p to a toilet attendent to use the gents and was then accosted at my table by the accordian player, shaking his tambourine at me for another couple of quid!! I said I'd give him a fiver if he could bring me a waiter, he smiled in a bemused fashion and blurted "happy evening". And I suppose it was if you were a hard up accordian player begging money from diners desperate to converse with someone vaguely resembling a member of staff. Hire more waiters and sack the accordian player is my advice. It'll give people an opportunity to spend more than two quid in your restaurant before they walk out of the door. Never again.
