Scoffers Kitchen

This place has almost got it made. The food is priced reasonably but not cheap. The service was good - on the night we went the waiter dealt superbly with a raucous gentleman, though I got the impression they were struggling to keep up with the orders on a not so busy monday.

On the food front, an eclectic and ambitious menu had some impressive dishes, but the strong mix of flavours meant that some of them were a little overpowering such as the duck confit with ginger, or the stilton dauphinoise - less can sometimes be more.

On the whole an enjoyable experience though, would definitely go back.
