Da Mario

I went there on my Birthday with my wife and we had booked the table in advance, on a weekday. We were happy with the food but not so excited overall.

We started at 8:30pm and just while ordering for the starters the waiter told us to order for the main course as well, ah what a unprofessional way ( I am not sure if it was unintended though). The menu is quite good. Note that the servings are quite small. So if I were damn hungry that day I would have had to order another main meal, after I had a starter and a main course.

Secondly, the place is quite small and would deprive you of a noise free, peace meal if that is what you want. On our day, the adjoining tables had a big group on dinner and it was very loud around.

Thirdly, when I ordered for a desert and asked for a coffee later on, I saw the waiter dumping both the items together on my table confirming my earlier impression of lack of sophistication by the staff.

All in all, if you are going out on a date or any special occassion I recommend to skip it as it may not provide your the best ambience and service. On the other side, the wine list is good and it cost us both GBP 50 for a good meal and wine.
