I visited this restaurant on Friday evening with my boyfriend. I found it to be mediocre at best - not really worthy of the reviews posted here. The Roti Canai I had for starter was ok, but the main course of aubergine and pineapple curry was not that great. The abundance of pineapple made the dish overly sweet and the aubergine was undercooked and hard. My dishes that my partner ordered were better, but nothing that special. The noise from the railway line was actually quite loud, to the point that I thought it was a strange location for a restaurant. Overall, the food was ok, it was ok value for money given the 20% offer available at the moment and the service was pretty good.

Food 5 | Service 7 | Atmosphere 7 | Value for money 6
I visited Latium last night with my boyfriend to celebrate a special occasion. The menu operates on a fixed charge system for two or three courses, as a vegetarian I was restricted to the staters and the primi platti, meaning that perhaps I didn't get as much value for money as I otherwise would have done as a meat-eater. There were a couple of vegetarian items for those courses to choose from though, so finding something on the menu was not a problem.
In general my partner and I agreed that the food was very good. However, we had to wait longer than I would have liked to order drinks, primarily because it seemed that two of the watiers were not sufficiently qualified to take our drinks order and kept saying that they would need to send over one of their collegues. The head waiter who did eventaully take our order was very charming and polite, but the other waiter who brought out our food and served us for the rest of the evening was polite but not particularly warm, possibly even slightly grumpy. Overall I very much enjoyed the evening, the food was very good, but the service could have been improved slightly and the fixed price system probably didn't offer the best value for money for vegetarians, but I would say is fine for meat-eaters. The complimentary chocolates that they served us at the end meant there really was no need for dessert. We paid £85 for two courses and a bottle of wine, including a 12.5% service charge.

Food 8 | Service 6 | Atmosphere 8 | Value for money 6
I've eaten in this restaurant four times now, and I always find the food to be very good. The bill has usually come to about £70 - £80 for two with a bottle of wine.
Last night I went with my friend on the Times two eat for £10 offer. There was a choice of two different dishes for each course. My friend had the artichoke salad followed by the risotto, both of which were excellent and I had soup of the day followed by the pasta. Contrary to the experience of a previous reviewer, I had plenty of aubergine in my pasta!
The dishes that came with the offer were more basic than the food on the normal menu, but they were still delicious and obviously very good value for money.
Overall I would recommend this restaurant, and I think the Times offer was a good way to try the place out for people on a tighter budget.
