We ate here on Saturday evening following a friend's recommendation. We were not disappointed!! The whole experience from the telephone booking through to receiving the bill was a pleasure. The menu was hand written and dated, indicating that it changes regularly according to which ingredients are in season. There is an extensive wine and port list, though it should be noted that they do not serve spirits or beer. Four of us enjoyed 3 courses plus coffees and a shared bottle of wine and the bill came to £130 including service! This was outstanding value for the quality of food. The restaurant looks pretty unassuming from the street, but once you are inside it is very intimate and has a good atmosphere. The ground floor is smokey, but downstairs is non-smoking and you have the advantage of being able to watch the kitchen! We will definitely be back.
