Absolutely fantastic. Went for the set lunch 3 courses for £15.50 and it was without doubt the best value meal I've had for years. Steak tartare (complete with raw egg yolk), followed by wood pigeon and finished with cheese. The fuss free and high quality approach was epitomised for me by the cheese plate - a single slab of delicious chedder (from La Fromagerie in Marylebone) served with a sweet chutney/jam and bread. Simple and fantastic. A very reasonably priced Malbec (£17.50) added to the package. Friendly and attentive service also helped. You'll struggle to get such a meal for that price anywhere in London.

Brilliant. Delicious tagine's and fruit cocktails. Cheap, friendly and unusual.

Went on a saturday night and was pretty much full. Food is perfectly good if uninspiring. Be warned though, the clientele is almost exclusively over 40s, which makes some of us slightly younger ones feel a tad out of place. Interior is very plain and lacks any atmospehere, making for an upmarket Pizza Express. Special mention to the friendly and attentive waiter.

Great atmosphere and very attentive waiters (although a little highly strung).
'Anthonys suckling pig' was delicious with apple chilli jelly, as was the steak tatare starter. Really decent bottle of red wine for only £15 was a corker too.
Situated in one of those strange limbo areas of notting hill where lovely houses/streets meet a huge less salubrious estate. However, the interior (at night anyway) ensures total detachment from the outside world and a warm and cosy place for either a romantic but lively evening, or a lazy fun meal with a group of friends. Top stuff.

I took my girlfriend here for a relaxed birthday meal on Wednesday and had a great time. Good atmosphere and nice wine. The food, though, was average at best and overpriced for the quality. My duck was overcooked and the cranberry sauce didn't taste of cranberries. And this was meant to be a 'special'. My girlfriend's burger was, again, average and overpriced. Service was fine and it's a nice place to be. If they want to charge £9-£16 for mains they need to make sure they are worth it.
