On the evening of Saturday 18th March 2006, my family and I attended the Bombay Dreams restaurant in Wembley, London. We had pre-booked and were assured by the person taking our booking that they cater well for vegetarians and their restaurant is a family orientated restaurant with Belly Dancers as entertainment. After travelling two hours we arrived at the restaurant and took our seats and after 5 minutes they started to play some very loud music, I could barely hear the person sitting next to me. We asked the waiter if the music could be turned down and he said he would do so after the song had finished but he never did. We had to ask for the food menu which arrived 10 minutes after sitting down. We looked at the menu and there was very limited food for vegetarians. We ordered vegetarian set menu, but the food was not what we expected and was stone cold. We thought the main course would be better but again we were let down by the poor quality of food especially at £25 each ahead. We spoke to the management and they had the cheek to say this restaurant does not cater for vegetarians and we should not come again. We asked for some compensation as the £200 for 6 people we had just spent was extortionate for the poor food and the poor level of service, they offered us 2 tickets back to their restaurant after telling us not to come back! The restaurant was very disappointing! I would not recommend this to anyone who wants to dine out in Wembley and to stay clear of Bombay Dreams!
P.s. the belly dancers did not turn up either.
