Outstanding food, but the overall eating experience is simply not worth the money. Down a back lane in Mayfair, you have to wait for the indifferent staff to notice you outside before they let you in. Tables are packed close together like a cheap bistro, and ours rocked wildly before the waiter strategically replaced the pieces of wood under it. We chose the best tasting option (Kyoto kaiseki) with accompanying wines chosen for each course, which the sommelier often brought late. Eight pounds for a bottle of water is outrageous. Food was sublime, but spoilt by a total bill of £370 for two. Too pricy to pay yourself, and impossible to use as a business venue because you are 20cm from the next table. Very disappointing.
