Notting Grill

Saturday 25th March

Table for two

Upon arrival we found that the reservation made two weeks previously wasn't in the book (even though our surname had been spelt out as person taking booking couldn't understand english). The maitre'd was very off-hand and didn't apologise at the time. We were seated upstairs next to a tabe of 6 very loud children having a birthday party. Due to the noise we asked to be moved and were re-seated at a nicer table (although this one had a cheap white paper cloth over the linen one!). The staff were sloppy and un-proffesional. Stale bread and hard olives were served as apetizers, but on the whole, our meals were ok. The maitre'd did eventually apologise and the overall eating experience was acceptable but over priced.

The dingy unisex basement toilets, complete with huge vase of dead flowers, was not a pleasant experience. Get a cleaner!
