Club Gascon

I can't believe the previous reviews moaning about the portions and price!

If you know anything about cuisine you will know that food this rich is to be enjoyed in small quantities.

The taster menu left me absolutely filled to the brim, the accompanying drinks well selected.

I can safely say you will not find more scrumptious food if you looked for years.

The Blue Legume (Stoke Newington)

I eat here every Saturday or Sunday. The back room is lovely and cosy and their eggs benidict are to die for!

Suruchi

Can't say I've been to this restaurant but it's is my take-away of choice! They are quick, not too pricey and the food is always yummy. They also give you lots of free sauces and a beer or two!

Santa Fe

This was one of my favourite restaurants in London, I had birthday and Christmas parties here since it opened. The food was fantastic. Unfortunately it's now a camping store!

Nam Bistro

You can't expect lush surroundings when you are paying so little for your food. The high quality of the food is surprising, I'd say it was on a par with the fantastic Au-Lac in Highbury. The staff are helpful, polite and efficient. Nam's Bistro is a bit of a local legend amongst my friends and I.

Masala Zone (Islington)

I can't believe this place has got ANY good reviews. I've been here three times now and each time I marvel at how it's managed to stay open this long (I personally think the sausage restaurant 'Schneke' that was there previously was much better).

The staff are hurried and rude and the decor is vile. The food is not expensive if you compare it to top class restaurants but if you take into account that the crusty old indian take-away at the end of my road produces food 10 times tastier and much cheaper, it is pricey.

The quality of ingredients was awful, the chicken tough, grey and obviously the cheapest they could get their hands on.

Even if you ignore the fact that it tastes NOTHING like Indian food it is still vile in it's own right.

Big thumbs down for Massala Zone I'm afraid.

Hamburger Union (Upper St)

After eating in the Fine Burger Company a great deal I felt the need to try a different burger bar for a change. What a mistake that was. The staff were rude, unhelpful and slow. My first indication of what was to come was that I waasn't asked how I wanted my burger cooked. Then again, that may be because it was as thick as an After Eight! Not to mention overcooked, rubbery and tasteless. Left very annoyed and vowed never to stray from Fine Burger again.

Bierodrome (Upper Street)

After several visits I have established that Bierodrome has shockingly bad service. It's so bad that the food (inconsistant in quality) doesn't even get a look in. The only reason for coming here is the two free children's meals you get with each adults meal.
