Incognico

Went here inspired by the special offer which was unbelievably good value given the high prices on the a la carte menu, from which you are free to choose anything you like. Lovely champagne brought straight away, be careful ordering additional drinks if you are on a budget as it could easily get out of hand !

Very attractive rooms, tables well spaced but overall rather a businessy, expense account kind of atmosphere (lots of suits). My only gripe was the speed and over attentiveness of the service, when about the sixth waiter had asked if we were ready to order pudding, we had to point out that we had come for the evening and weren't in a hurry to leave.

The food was top notch. I was happy to have tried it on the special offer but I wouldn't go there full price.

Rasa Travancore

This place really does live up to the rave reviews below. The four course feast is great value at £20, the food being very fresh, subtly flavoured and beautifully presented. I wouldn't normally be that thrilled about a 15% service charge being added but the service was so friendly and efficient that it is justified. The food here includes not only traditional vegetarian Keralan dishes but Syrian Christian meat and fish dishes completely unlike the usual curry house fare. If you don't go, you're missing something great !
