Original Lahore Kebab House

What a feed. Exceptional food at ridiculously reasonable prices left my friends and I promising to return on a regular basis.

BYO means super value (shame on all those curry houses charging £15 for a bott;e of plonk) - £60 for 4 including a generous (and well earned) tip. Atmosphere is fun but busy - the huge central kitchen really is a sight to behold (try little brother Lahore One on Commercial Rd if you're looking for something slightly less frenetic. The food served is, I think, identical.)

Highlights were the lamb chops and the chicken-on-the-bone curry (Karahi chicken was top notch also). Rhoti were awesome too, and it beats stuffing yourself with rice. This, i have recently learned, is the sub-continental way, and I'm a definite convert. Was almost tempted to ride on the roof of the train back home...
