My husband and I had lunch at Petrus yesterday to celebrate our anniversay.

We cannot compliment the staff enough, they are professional, friendly and made us feel very comfortable. (Soriah was particularly lovely girl)

We had the £30 lunch menu, this was three courses and they also sent out lots of tiny tasters in between so excellent value, the food itself was good but not outstanding EXCEPT!... The Tarte Tatin - this is HEAVEN itself and made a quite average lunch quite special, as did the Bon Bon trolley! My only small criticism is that I was sat quite near the cheese trolley and it was really strong smell, quite unpleasant if you are not eating cheese!

Wine at £10 a glass, (french burgandy) delicious, had it been later in the day I would have easily polished off whole bottle.

All in all, a nice experience...
